Hello everyone! Welcome to my seven-day Create The Life You Want Mini-Course! Before we talk about How To Create The Right Mindset, I want to say congratulations! You’re here now, doing the work and taking the first steps to creating the life you want! So let’s get started!

What is mindset?

To Create The Right Mindset it’s important to understand what mindset really is and how it works. Mindset is a set of beliefs that shape how you make sense of the world and yourself. Mindset influences how you think, feel, and behave in any given situation.

Mindset controls so much of our lives and our perspectives. That’s why it’s so important to learn How To Create The Right Mindset.

Growth vs Fixed Mindset

The term growth mindset can be credited to Carol Dweck, a Psychology Professor at the University of Stanford. Thank you, Carol! When we have a growth mindset, we believe that our abilities can improve with effort and education. Growth mindset sees challenges and road-blocks as opportunities for learning and development.

When we have a fixed mindset, we believe that our abilities are stuck as they are; that we are created as we are and there is no changing.

Developing A Growth Mindset

Our ability to adopt a growth mindset is made possible by our brain’s neuroplasticity. This essentially means that your brain is both flexible and adaptable, meaning, it’s designed to be able to grow and learn. This ability is consistent throughout your lifetime.

Changing our cognitive distortions starts with awareness. Go through the list above write down the distortions you recognize in yourself. Now, let’s move on to what you can do about those distortions.

Create Your Vision For Your Life

Now that we’ve created the right mindset, it’s time to create the vision you have for your life!

To begin, I want to say that I do not subscribe to hustle culture. Your first priority with this mindset change is to create a vibe of peace and wellness. Wellness is going to look different for every individual, so it’s important for you to define what that means. Don’t be afraid to create the vision that you want, even though it may not feel possible at this time.

Another thing to consider is that you want to be visualizing your near-future. You aren’t focusing on five or ten years from now; you are focusing on the next six months to a year!

Take time today to sit down with yourself and write down your vision for the next six months to a year. Take your time! You may end upcoming back to this exercise several times, and that’s okay! This exercise is for you, and there is no deadline. Be specific, and don’t be afraid to dream big!
