Creating a daily schedule

Asana has a great article with 6 easy steps to follow to create an effective daily schedule.

Putting it all together

Time to get out your journal or favorite writing device.

  1. We start with environment. Now that its tidy and put together we need to create a plan to keep it that way, we will do this by compiling daily and weekly tasks.
  2. Start by writing the days of the week on your piece of paper or by pulling up a digital or printed calendar. Brainstorm what things NEED to be done every week once a week to keep your space tidy and clean. Create a list of these items and assign each one to a day of the week that you are to get them done.
  3. Moving onto physical health, it’s time to build routines that will act as a system to stay on top of your health. One thing that helps when creating systems is to stack activities. Such as after I wake up I will do my skincare routine, stretch and move my body and then make myself a healthy breakfast.
  4. For mental health we are going to pick 3 things to help keep us feeling energetic mentally and well. These 3 things are going to act as a maintenance plan for improved mental health. I want you to take time each day or each week to spend sometime on these activities.
  5. We’ve already created goals for our financial wellness now its time to take those goals and turn them into an actionable plan. I want you to pick a day of the week to dedicate sometime to go over your budget and make any needed adjustments. Additionally, I want you to start keeping track of your spending habits and the emotions that pop up during.

With all of this done you now have a well put together plan to not only truly begin your total wellness journey but you also have the building blocks to maintain it. In the last part of my How To Create The Life You Want mini course, we are going to focus all on maintaining these plans and reflecting on them so we are able to make revisions as needed as we move forward.
